A message from the Race Secretary

All entries for the Australian Open Short Course in Hobart and NSW Open Short Course Championships need to be lodged BEFORE Friday 3 July 2009.
Any swimmers who are not entering, but are available for relays at the NSW Open Championships to be held 24 – 25 July 2009 should tell Graeme (all 100m swims).
The 400m freestyle races for age swimmers are also held in this competition so remember to enter if you have qualified and wish to compete (ie 13 and under, 14/15 years and 16-18 years).

Willoughby Championships

Don’t forget to get your cards in by Friday, 17th July, 2009, at the latest, for the Club Championships to be held on Sunday, 2nd August, 2009. Please pay your entry fee when handing in cards. Entry fee is a one off payment of $10.00 for 11 years and under, and $20.00 for 12 years and over.

Congratulations to Luane Rowe for breaking the Open Club Record in both the 400 and 800 metre freestyle last Friday night and also congratulations to Max Collins who broke the Open 800 metre freestyle time. Check out the current records under pages.

Metropolitan Championships SC 2009

Entries for The Metropolitan Championships are due to the Race Secretary by no later than 12 JUNE. Any new or updated times achieved at the WASA meet 13 June can be handed to the Race Secretary (Gina McConnell 0438279197) on the night of the 13th only. Any entries received after 13 June will not be accepted. Remember this is a NSW run meet and all information must be completed correctly on the entry cards including the section “Achievement date/place” and your Rego No.

When qualifying for short course championships, swimmers can use either a long course or short course qualifying times. Please be aware of the change of procedures introduced by NSW Swimming when entering meets. There are no converted times and this means no conversion chart just use your long course time or short course time provided it meets the entry time.
